I’m taking the day off of work tomorrow to get in a nice 20-miler on the Superior Hiking Trail. Temps are predicted to be in the low to mid-70s with plenty of sunshine. Should make for a beautiful day in the woods! This is by far the best time of year for running the SHT and I’m excited to venture off on my own for the day. It’s been a while since I’ve done a long run on my own. I’ve been so used to running with people these days that tomorrow will be a bit of a departure from my usual routine, but I’m really looking forward to it. Hopefully I’ll come back with some sweet pics from my adventure; the foliage should be near peak! I’ll be starting at the base of Ely’s Peak and taking the SHT all the way to Bayfront. Start time TBD (maybe around 9am or so), but I’m guessing I’ll be out for about 4 hours. I’ve had a recent left foot injury of some sort though and I’ve been icing the snot out of it. I think I tweaked it on a run in Hartley last week. Here’s hoping it holds up well during the run!
