Back at it

Well, the ankle has been feeling back to normal this week. Thank you Jesus! I’m back into my training schedule for a trail marathon that takes place in about three weeks. Eep! I’m trying to decide where to do my long run tomorrow morning. I’ve got about 3.5 hours to run, which is probably somewhere around 20 miles, depending on terrain. I’m actually really, really excited for it! Tomorrow is predicted to be great weather, finally, but we’ll see how I hold up in the heat. It’s been pretty chilly here, which is awesome for running. I’ll start early in the morning and hopefully be done before the hottest part of the day. I’m going to try out my camelback for the first time too and maybe some other types of food. I love experiments! Now, I just have to find someone to drop me off in the woods…or I could do an out and back? I’ll figure it out over a couple of beers tonight.

Besides the long run in the morning, tomorrow is going to be fun-filled! The CHUM Rhubarb Festival takes place tomorrow, an event close to my heart. And, the Park Point Art Fair is also going on this weekend—another event that I love. After that I’m heading to Ashland to stay with my good friends that I haven’t seen in a while. On Sunday, we are planning on biking around Michigan’s largest inland lake, Lake Gogebic! I think it’s a 30-40-mile ride? Hmmm…here’s hoping the legs hold up! Happy Weekending to you all—Cheers!
